Location

Hotel Kolonna Riga *** is located in the Old Town, near Dome Square. The street of the hotel, the Tirgonu (merchants) street is one of the most important streets of Riga, it was also mentioned in the 13th century. The buildings of the neighbourhood were built and inhabited by German merchants in the 14th century. These houses underwent a renovation process in the 18th century, when their Renaissance style turned into Classical. Due to the hotel’s central location it is a perfect starting point for tourists for an enjoying sightseeing. The St. Peter’s Church and the Riga Castle are approachable on foot easily.

Hotel

The six-storey, 14th century building was purchased in 2004 by the Kolonna Ltd. Hotel chain, but the house did not operate as a hotel in that time. During the reconstruction works the facade has preserved its original form, but the internal areas have been fully transformed. Kolonna Hotel Riga *** was the first hotel in Kolonna Hotels Group, it opened its door in 2005. Elevator and wireless Internet connection serve guests’ comfort, moreover a meeting room with the capacity of 20 persons is at your disposal. The hotel does not have an own parking lot, parking is possible in nearby public areas. Pets welcome.
